While we’re not really sure when outdoor televisions were first created (and oddly enough the answer to that question seems to be somewhat Google-proof), here at Kawartha TV and Stereo we definitely found that the outdoor television industry started getting more popular and mainstream as the flatscreen television industry started gaining popularity.

Something else everyone here at Kawartha TV and Stereo is acutely aware of is that every year that passes we see more and more of our customers wanting that outdoor environment to relax in, party in, spend time in and generally do whatever in… and that typically (always) requires an outdoor television.

As many people are aware there is a big difference between an indoor television and an outdoor television. If for example you were to try to use an indoor television outside, due to the unique demands an outdoor environment creates, it will be virtually guaranteed to sound terrible, have a poor to terrible picture quality and it will quickly be terminally damaged by the environment.

Fortunately there are many great outdoor televisions available on the market, and the one we’ll discuss today is Samsung’s new Terrace QLED TV.

We’ll start by saying that old tried and true statement, “it is a game changer!”. (Fair enough if you’re rolling your eyes right now).

The Terrace TV’s are Samsungs new outdoor televisions which offer models for both full shade and partial sun, as well as a version for full sun placements.

They provide an exceptional QLED experience, which provides spectacular image quality outdoors. This is in part thanks to something called Adaptive Picture which is an intuitive display that optimizes picture settings based on surrounding lighting conditions.

When it comes to their ability to withstand the elements (aka: their weather proof-ness?) the Terrace lineup are rated for weather resistance from water and dust.

When it comes to their outdoor performance the Terrace lineup offers not only direct sun protection technology, but also an anti-glare TV screen.

Further to this Terrace televisions offer a wide viewing angle, and naturally they are smart televisions that have features such as phone mirroring and even 4K artificial intelligence upscaling which automatically helps reduces image noise, restores lost detail and offers crisp picture definition.

So there you have it. If you want an amazing television with spectacular sound, image and durability for your outdoor environment, Samsung’s Terrace should be the first choice on your list.
