While it is unbelievable to the team here at Kawartha TV and Stereo, there are some people who actually appreciate the sound of silence.

We're not talking about the Simon and Garfunkel song, we're talking about the actual Sound - Of - Silence.

In our opinion it's tragic that anyone could actually feel that way. Why anyone wouldn't want to listen to their favourite music, particularly when driving is beyond us.

However if you are one of the people that the Kawartha TV and STEREO team understands (and likes), you will want to squeeze the most out of every single note from every single song when it comes to your car audio.

To be fair, we can admit that many car manufacturers have definitely upped their game when it comes to car audio over the last few decades… BUT that doesn't mean that most factory installed systems do't still fall well short of what they could be.

But the great news is that you can not only completely level up your rides audio not only without breaking the bank, but also without having to rip your entire vehicle apart to add the elements we’re going to discuss today.

So here are 3 options you can integrate into your existing system that will help take your car audio to where most manufacturers were seemingly afraid to even dare try.

The place to start will typically be with your vehicles speakers. This is often one of the weak links in the chain when it comes to manufacturers factory installed sound and will potentially offer the best bang for your buck.

When you replace with quality aftermarket speakers the difference is immediate and dramatic. Fortunately this is often an easy change to make as the aftermarket speaker providers have become quite smart and often build speakers to fit factory speaker sizes, so its pretty much a plug and play.

Next stop will be an external amp. A moment ago we said speakers are a weak link in the manufacturers audio chain, which is true, but at least that link exists!

Many car manufacturers don't have any built in sound system amps, and even if they do, odds are it will be less than impressive. By adding an external amp, particularly if you upgraded your speakers, you will definitely get more out of your sound system.

The last thing we'll cover today is a subwoofer. Again, one more smack to the factory systems we'll make is that they typically offer minimal bass. Even just by adding a small subwoofer under a seat you can see a big difference.

So there you have it, 3 quick and easy upgrades that can let you enjoy the Sound of Silence Song on a whole new level.
